Author Talk hosted by Democracy Takes Work. Join Michael Gast and Andrea Dehlendorf to discuss the new anthology, Free the People to Free the Money to Free the People: An Organize the Rich Anthology. Using a lens of reviving the tradition of social movement unionism, we'll explore the role that philanthropy, both individual donors and institutional funders, can play in supporting worker organizing. We'll delve into how social justice philanthropy got severed from the labor movement, and how and why its important to bring those worlds back together.

Event attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the book, thanks to support from Roy Bahat and Bloomberg Beta. Instructions for getting your copy will be shared during the event.
